May to June 1859; - Sketch plan showing the chapel, entrance, and cottages adjoining, n.d. [c.1859] - Lease for 21 years between 1) Most Noble Francis, Duke of Bedford 2) William Armstrong of Haynes, farmer; Thomas Robert Brown of Bedford, butcher; Thomas Tokelove Gray of Bedford, wine merchant; James Howard of Bedford, Ironfounder; William Jones of Bedford, grocer; and George Rushbrooke of Ampthill, grocer - the Lessees. 1) leases to 2) for 21 years all that piece of ground with buildings thereon at Millbrook (as shown in PLAN) in margin, together with a right of way to pass to and from the premises along the footpath shown on the plan. Annual rent: 4s. [various covenants] signature: Bedford 20 February 1860 - Acknowledgment by Trustees of debt of £30 to Mrs. [George - deleted] Mahalath Rushbrooke, 1 May 1861, endorsed with note of repayment, 28 May 1877. - Copy agreement between: 1) C.P.Elliott on behalf of the Most Noble Herbrand, Duke of Bedford 2) Francis William Peck, draper; Walter Blois Whitbread, Company Secretary; Walter Wilcox, bricklayer; Arthur Edward Hardwick, grocer; Clement Charles Hardwick, grocer; (all of Ampthill); Matthew Brunt, market gardener; Henry Robinson, solicitor's clerk; (both of Maulden); and Arthur Frank Pitman, farmer, of Millbrook. Lease by 1) to 2) on a yearly tenancy, of all that building at Millbrook now used as a Wesleyan Chapel, with right of access etc., (as shown in PLAN in margin), now in the occupation of [old lessees listed] Annual rent: 10s.
