    Copy Cognovit in action in Kings Bench John Doe on the demise of Mayor and Corporation of Bedford, plaintiffs, and William Hughes and Elizabeth his wife, defendants, concerning messuage or tenement in the parish of Bedford St Paul, formerly in lease from the lessors to Robert Clare afterwards to John Harris and late to John Price (being now the back part of the dwelling house in the occupation of Humphrey Colson belonging to the devisees thereof under the will of Richard Lane deceased), bounded: North - by the messuage of John Mayle; part of the East - by the tenement of the said devisees, being the much greater part of the front next the High Street thereof the said dwelling house in the occupation of Humphrey Colson, the remaining part of the East by the part of a dwelling house hereinafter described; South - by a passage commonly called Girdlers Lane; West - by the messuages in the respective occupations of Mary Lines and Thomas Irons belonging to the devisees. And also so much of the south side of the shop of the said dwelling house now in occupation by Humphrey Colson, and the site thereof, being a very narrow slip, as has been taken in from the said passage or way called Girdlers Land.
