Includes reference to pressure put on James by C J and A F Pope to leave his money in the business, which he declined to do and instead pushed for the payment of 10s in the £ and asked Hooper to look for investments for this money when received. - for attending W H Pope re the wish of the family for James to leave his money in the business with C J Pope. - for attending W J Pope re letter ‘signed by several members of the family that they were willing for the money to remain in the business, we again pointed out that it was absurd for supposed legatees under a will to presume to dictate how the testator was to invest his money in his lifetime.’ - for drawing up will of 15 September, - for ‘attending you when you said you were so incensed at the way in which you were bullied by your nephews you handed us a piece paper on which the names of C J Pope, A F Pope and G K Pope were written you wished them to be struck out of all interest under your will and for William John Pope to be restored.’ Drawing up will of 11 October. - 17 November received instructions to revive will of 15 September drawing will accordingly.
