‘Many thanks for your cheque for £34.19.0 ½ years interest on Ulestone’s mtge to 24 June 82 £12.3.3 int on Hilton Greens £800 from 11 Feb to 29 Sept 82 22.15.9. Would you like me to send you a separate receipt for each amount. With refce to E B Lindsell’s letter I fancy the Tasmanian & Portuguese Bonds are right but I will enquire from Newbery. I can now give the Trustees £300 or £400 of the £2000 I covenanted to settle that with Spanish Bonds & £1000 in Newbery’s han would make £1700 to be invested now. Carrie is about the same & will be glad to see her mother tonight. She sends her love.’
