William Carrington having surrendered to the use of his will in Oct 1758 and having made a will in 1775 leaving two copyhold cottages in the occupation of Peter Stanley and Thomas Wells to Henry Court of Stratton, farmer. - 19 & 20 Oct & 19 Dec 1787 surrender of Henry Court of two cottages then in occupation of Peter Stanley and James Cubiss, to William Rands, gardener. William Rands admitted tenant. - 23 & 24 April 1824 Admission of Naomi Brown (see HF53/3/1) - 31 Mar 1 Apr 1826 Admission of Margaret Burks late of Coventry but then of Biggleswade, as heir at law to Naomi Brown, being the only child of Margaret [annotated in pencil that this is a clerical error and should say Mary] Burks deceased formerly Hunt only sister of John Hunt grandfather of Naomi Brown. 2 cottages in occupation of Peter Stanley and Hannah Lawman with garden ground in occupation of Thomas Hodges; cottage late in occupation of John Leighton and ground in occupation of John Leighton and Peter Stanley; 3 rood toft whereupon a messuage formerly stood in Backside formerly in occupation of John Bury, then John Howe and late John Hunt; house in possession of Samuel Barber in Shortmead Street known by the name of the court house; cottage adjoining built by John Hunt formerly occupied by Ann Empey, widow, late William Bury, then Ann Hide, widow; pasture called Fosters Close, late in possession of William Knight. - 4 May 1832 Copy of court roll reciting mortgage of 20 Nov 1831 between Margaret Burks of Aston, Birmingham, spinster and Robert Dolphin of Birmingham gent.
