- Scope and Contenta) Lease for a year 1) Thomas Yoxen of Northill, Greengrocer, George Newbery of Biggleswade, Gent 2) William Pope of Biggleswade, cornfactor In consideration of 5 shillings rent - messuage ‘formerly called or known by the name or sign of the Wheatsheaf’. 16 April 1833 b) Release -(1) Thomas Yoxen of Northill, greengrocer, George Newbery of Biggleswade, Gent, trustees of James Pope’s will -(2) Elizabeth Pope of Sandy, widow of James Pope -(3) William Pope of Biggleswade, cornfactor -(4) Robert Lindsell of Biggleswade, gent recites: will of James Pope of Sandy, miller published 4 May 1832 leaving all personal and real estate to(1) upon trust for (2) for her natural life or widowhood and then for benefit of children. James Pope died 19 June 1832. (1) with the consent of (2) sell to (3) in consideration of £800 - messuage ‘formerly called or known by the name or sign of the Wheatsheaf’ formerly in the occupation of John Fordham, afterwards of Thomas Pope deceased, then of James Pope the father of the said James Pope the testator and late of the said James Pope the testator. Signed Thomas Yoxen, George Newbery and Elizabeth Pope. Endorsed with receipt for £800. 17 April 1833
