From the Improvement Commissioners' Order Book there are entries: - 4 Nov 1803 The Spread Eagle belonging to Mr Samuel Rogers of Eaton is valued at £140, and an approach be made to Mr Rogers - 2 Dec 1803 No reply from Mr Samuel Rogers - 28 Dec 1803 Mrs Dorothy Woodfield has agreed to sell the estate on the terms proposed by the Commissioners (no description given) - 3 Aug 1804 Ordered that Mrs Dorothy Woodfield be paid £140 (paid 6 Sept) - 3 Aug 1804 An order concerning an exchange with Mr Peregrine Nash states that the Commissioners now own the Spread Eagle
