Members were elected by the Congregation Council and oversaw the day to day running of the spiritual and material running of the congregation.
The Committee was originally subordinate to the Elders Conference, but once the latter became obsolete they took over many of their duties focussing mainly on church property, congregation accounts and matters relating to the fabric of the building.
