R.B.Willey. i-iii notes on contents by C.H.S. made at time of binding a) 1- 4 diary of John Wade (copy by Heckewelder of part of diary MO/8/3/1 (c) above) 28 Jul-4 Oct 1745 Slightly amended and with corrected spelling. b) 5- 29 diary of Jacob Rogers (fair copy, slightly shortened smooth copy, of MO/8/3/1 (a) above, with continuation for some months beyond the other diary) 30 Dec 1745-9 Oct 1746 c) 31- 70 Bedford Congregation Diary 1 Jan 1746/7-9 Jan 1748 Continues from MO/8/3/1. After 1747 there is a gap. d) 71-263 Labourers' Conference Minutes 1 Jan 1744/5-8 Jan 1750 This begins with the constituting meeting of the Conference, 1 January 1745; then breaks off on 8 January; except for a meeting recorded on 31 May, there is a gap till 2 September 1746. This gap is filled, firstly by the minutes in MO/8/3/1, 8 January -12 February 1745; secondly by pp 265-372 in this volume. e) 265-372 Labourers' Conference Minutes 22 Feb 1745-28 Aug 1746 This fits into above. f) 373-375 statement as to the keeping of the Congregation's writings. 27 Dec 1745 Letter appointing Heckenwelder secretary and assigning a special room for the Congregation papers. g) 377-401 Elders' Conference Minutes 1 Sep 1747-22 Oct 1752 The only series of minutes bearing this title until 1757, when the regular series commences.
