Agreement: (1) Bedford Borough Council (2) Thomas Davis of Hill Top, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, ironmaster. Reciting mortgage of even date, (1) to (2) of certain corporate property of the borough of Bedford for £4,500 at £4.15.0 per cent, per annum, but subject to another mortgage for £2,260, 5 March 1873, and it has been agreed that (2) will advance to (1) a total of £12,100, the balance of which is to be used to discharge outstanding mortgages of (1) and as they cannot all be discharged immediately, £7,600 is to be lodged in a bank, with a security therefor on the borough rates. (1) Agree to give notice immediately to outstanding mortgagees of intention to redeem; and execute the necessary deeds, and (2) will lodge £7,600 in a bank at Bedford at expiration of term of notice to redeem.
