Scope and Content
(1) owner and (2) occupier of Kempston Mill, with two waterwheels, and (3) built waterworks and pumping station in 1868 up river from said mill; and in 1905 (3) increased abstraction of water from the river, whereupon (2) took action through the courts to restrain them; in 1911 (3) took further water without permission, and great number of troops stationed in Bedford at outbreak of war caused further demand for water, so (3) laid pipes in 1915 for abstracting water; (3) has paid £1,500 to (1) and agrees not to abstract more water than can be obtained from two 6 inch pipes for 5 years (2 copies)
