- Scope and ContentA capital messuage with all appurtenances, a close of pasture lately ploughed called the Warren of 16 acres, part of Woodclose lately ploughed of 4 acres, 6 acres of Lammas meadow, & the hop grounds; all in occupation of Charles Duncome in Flitwick. Also the Brick Kiline in occupation of John Farmer; a farmhouse of Matthew Freelove, two pightles of 3 acres; Orchard Close of 7 acres; the other part of Woodclose of 2 acres; 13 roods mead in 2 parcels in East End; 8 acres meadow in Stanyard; 200 acres arable dispersed in the Fields, all in occupation of Matthew Freelove. Also 3 cottages with hempland at Church End, Jane Burridge widow, John Impey, & George Pratchett, occupiers; and a cottage with hempland at East End, Thomas Bayly occupier. Also Greenfield mill, & 14 acres in Maggotts moor adjoining the mill, & 3 acres of sward ground in Flitton Bromefield; all in the occupation of Thomas Tomalin. Also 2 acres of Flitwick Wood. The deed enumerates the quantities of land etc to be specified in the Recovery, & shows that the specifiactions in such documents are not to be trusted. Endorsed: "The Deed that led the Fine for Docking my wife's Estate in Flittwick 1669" (therefore handwriting of Samuel Rhodes); also endorsed by Brooks with the contents.
