1) Feoffment dated 19 March 1795 between John Oxley Cox of Flitwick, labourer and Thomas Read of Flitwick, yeoman. In consideration of £22 paid by Read to Cox - cottage in Flitwick late in the occupation of William Glover but then of John Oxley Cox with piece of garden ground adjoining. To the use of Thomas Read. With note that must considered to have passed by will of Mrs Read to grandchildren and ultimately to Martha Mary Hobbs as surviving her brother and sister. Although Henry Hobbs had undisturbed possession he did not thereby acquire an unimpeachable title.
