    Will of John Leighe the elder of Caldwell, esquire: - bequeathing to his son Goddard Leighe an annuity of £50 per annum, paid quarterly on the death of both John Leighe and his wife Anne for 80 years if Goddard Leighe live so long, issuing out of the "scite of the late priorye or monasterye of Caldwell" and all other lands etc.; - devising the site of the priory and all its lands to his wife Anne for her life, "sole and unmarried", observing the annuity to Goddard Leighe as well as an annuity to the testator's son Lewys Leighe of £140 per annum, paid quarterly during the life of Anne, if Lewys so long live unless Lewys lived with Anne in which case the annuity should be £100; if Lewys died during Anne's life a £30 annuity should go to Lewys' wife Lucy; - Lewys to inherit the priory and its lands on the death of Anne; - bequeathing an annuity of £30 to Goddard Leighe, paid quarterly, issuing out of lands in Bedford, Kempston, Wootton and Houghton Conquest, during the life of his mother; - bequeathing to his servant Anne Laverock "who hath served me many years", his house, orchard, garden and backside in the occupation of Thomas Hollyman in Bedford, for 80 years if she lived so long, paying 20/- per annum rent to his heirs until the lease to Thomas Hollyman be determined; - appointing Anne his sole executrix; - witnessed by Goddard Leighe, Lewys Leighe, Thomas Awdley, William Dymock, Michaell Dymock and John Bradley.
