    - 1730 will of Benjamin Rhodes bequeathed all real estate to Humphrey Dell subject to annuity of £20 to Susannah Marshall for life. - 1764 will of Humphrey Dell [see HN2/B2/15] - 1789 indenture between 1) Ann Hesse of Brampton, 2) George Brooks of Green Street, 3) John Kirton[?] of Grays Inn. Marriage intended between 1) and 2). 1) with consent of 2) conveyed to 3) – capital mansion house of Flitwick etc in trust for 1) for life and then for the benefits of children of the intended marriage in such shares as she may specify by deed or will. If no children then in trust for George Brooks. - 29 Jan 1816 indenture of lease and release 1) John Kirton, 2) George Brooks and wife Ann, 3) John Thomas Brooks only son of 2). 4) Edward Horne, 5) John Brooks & Henry Egerton. Reciting inclosure award and that 2) and 3) desire to suffer a common recovery of the manor etc in order to be extinguish the entail and have bargained and sold to 4) – all that manor or lordship or reputed manor of Flitwick with fee farm rents amounting to £11 5.6. and all that capital mansion house etc 46a 37p and all land containing together 275.0.36. And slipe in Cranfield, Home Close (4 acres) and Hill Close (7 acres), Long Close (12 acres), Plain close (8 acres), pightle (2 acres), Sward ground called Five acres being common only six weeks in a year all in the parish of Cranfield. 3 spinneys of underwood and timber in Cranfield all in the occupation of William Cripps. And two close of ground in Cranfield called the meadows containing together 10 acres in the occupation of Samuel Clare. And all other land to which Ann Brooks or person in trust for her was seized of. To the intent that a recovery might be suffered and made to the use of such persons as 2) and 3) direct. - Easter Term 1816 Common recovery suffered accordingly
