Reads- Public house at Oakley belonging to Nash, sadly in Tavistock's way; he wants to buy part of property to alter road; Nash tells others he wants to accommodate Tavistock, but I can't get anywhere with him. Possibility of exchange. Discussion of Gudgin [apparently at Cople Dog;] believe he makes his labourers take their beer from him but must give them some money for bread; I say: don't give him notice to quit without mature consideration, but when given act on it.
