Comments on the cause of the fire and the need for increased maintenance of the flues in the building, (course of specific flues detailed in the text and additional marginal notes), estimated cost of repair, and specification for the same. Mentions there being 171 ‘flues in the new parts’; 481 in the whole building, and the writer recommends cleaning at least every two months and the appointment of a full time sweep.
