Scope and Content
-To Sidney Sussex College £2,000 to purchase advowsons; estate at Cherry Hinton, Cambs, and Swine, Yorks., for the maintenance of 3 or 4 poor widows of clergyment of the College, with preference to those called Johnson or "Okebar"; and if none, for ophanned sons of clergy as scholars or exhibitioners, none having more than £15.
- for increase of vicarages of Podington, Wilshamstead, Peasmarsh and Higham, and in memory of wife; estate at Higham; that every 4th year the incumbents may enjoy the profits for afternoon sermons on the Lord's Day and for catechising children;
- for buying lands for supplying said children with catechisms, Bibles, and books of devotion £100.
- for lands for clothes or coals for poor prisoners or widows £100.
- To nephew Timothy Johnson "both my libraries" and the £150 he desired;
- To his sister's children £200 a piece on coming of age.
- To sister Mary £200, and to her children £200 a piece;
- To William Johnson's children when at age £200.
- To Matthew John £200.
Residue to Bubwith vicarage or to the poor of Ryse as nephew Timothy Johnson (executor) shall think fit. 19 May 1703.
