Further this Deponent on her oath saith that on or about the 17th day of September last Her Father came to her in the evening & desired her to fetch him down some money - He having some Accts to settle with Mr Coles then likewise present with her Father - She accordingly did so to the amount of 35£ all in notes of different Banks - but she is not sure that the 10£ note she had taken of Jane Hartwell as above mentioned on ye 4th Sept was amongst them & further saith not.' On the back is a note from Wm Hooper 'Dear Sir I send you inclosed by tomorrows Harrold Coach, these Recognizances which I hope you will receive in Time the offender has absconded but I suppose the injured party may nevertheless prefer an Indictment against her - which if found a true Bill the Business will of course be in the hands of the Court of Quarter Sessions. I have committed a young man likewise for a misdemeanor viz Joseph Harbert but for reasons I will explain to you when we meet I took no security from the informants to prosecute.'
