b) Terrier of Sharnbrook - Detailed description of Vicarage House followed by list of lands:
- The Vicarage house built with stone and covered with straw, containing 4 rooms below, 3 whereof are flored with brick, the other with Oak. On the second floor are 4 rooms, all floared with oak, The Garretts are flored with boards of several sorts the timber of the roof is oak. The Outhouses viz: barn, stable & Brewhouse contain 5 Bays of Building, all studwork except the end wall & chimney of the brewhouse which is of stone. The yard is fenced with pales of Oak and Ash; the rest of the homestall is fenced with a dead hedge on the north-east side, and the Quick sets of John Orlebar Esq on the South-East, South-West & North-West

In Woodend field, 3 lays in great mows, being one acre, Sir Philip Boteller, south (Bottom of this page damaged)
One lay, one rood and a half. Widow Palmer South, the land late Austin, North one land with a haden more being one rood Mr Risely, south & north
In Church field: Three lands, being half an acre, at Bragden Slade on the south & Sir Philip Boteler on the north
2 lands in the furlong above the 3 lands being 2 roods Major Aspin East Sir Philip Boteler West

In all three acres and 3 roods
a) £30 pa paid at 2 equal payments due at each half year, at Lady Day & Michaelmas given by the ancestors of Sir Philip Boteler & now charged on pt of his estate here in Sharnbrook called Toft Farm
b) Dues to Vicar
1) Tithe - 'know of no lands within this parish that are exempt from tithe'. Nor any Prescription belonging to any particular farm
2) No persons due from the vicar, but to the Archdeacon 3s pa. & small sum at a Triennial Visitation to the Bishop
c) Clerk and his dues. Transcribed in BPRS Vol. 24 page B41 starting 'As to the Clark....', & ending with "his perquisite".
d) Church repairs "The Church is repaired by a Leavy, & hath been sometimes in part by the profits of lands belonging to the parish known by the name of Church lands, which are now detained from the Parish, the writings being in Doctor Godfrey's hands, the possession of which writings the Doctor has confessed.
The Chancel is Repaired by John Orlebar, Esq. who is the impropriator
The Churchyard fences are repaired by the Householders (see AD997 page 184), who know their different parts, and whereof there is a table kept in the Parish Chest
e) Inventory of Contents of Church
Cushion for pulpit, 5 Bells & a clock, in the Chancel, a chest contains Bible, Common Prayer Book & Book of Homilies & Register Book Carpet for communion Table' which is railed in, fine linen table cloth & napkin, pewter plate & Flaggon & silver cup weight 11½ oz without any incription original made by Jn Bolton Vicar (1706 - 1739 (1740) before 1720 Copy made by Arthur Bedford, Vicar 1740
