- Scope and ContentReads- Financial details. Shaw called yest. I paid £30 on account to Sexton of Ampthill; error was want of a responsible person to give directions about meals; I thought Green would; he applied to the magistrates on 1st day of examination of prisoners to know if they might be allowed something to eat; the bills took me by surprise. Sexton is urgent for settlement; I will do so when I have seen Green; afraid no reduction possible, unless on room charge. Removal of pinery; spot suggested by Atkinson. Blore's drawings for the double cottages at entrance of Woburn town; to be of white or light-coloured bricks; very few at Crawley - they will have to be made.
