    Probate of Will of Rich. Redman of Southill, labourer. Devises to Ellen Daye (w. of Wm.D.), "dwellinge uppon the sandhill in the Parishe of Southill", ½a. land, next to that of John Fishe esq. W., & the highway to the church E., with the deed, cottage & other appurts. And to the churchwardens & overseers, his ground called Birdlymes Grene in S., on condition that they build a house thereon for "the Heardman Hoggard or Heayward or any other poore man". (Bequests [including many important items] to : sis. Agnis R., dwelling in Ingle[t]on (co. York), William of Craven (son of Gyles of C.), Gyles Redman (son of Geo.R.) of Ingleton, Edw. Fishe (son & heir of John F. esq.), wife's bro. Edw. Longe of Beeston, Eliz. Daye (dau. of aforesaid Wm. D.), child of John Easte, godson John Hinton of Stotfold, and Ellen Daye.). Exor: friend John Carter of Southill, schoolmaster. Witnesses: Rich. Phary, Wm. Daye.
