    Regular business includes election of parish officers, passing annual accounts, rates and rating etc., occasional business as follows: 1845-5 cessation of relief to named paupers under the Poor Law Amendment Act and notes of allowances for children etc. and workhouse rules; 1836 letting former parish workhouse; 1837 rating vaulation; 1843 resolution against turning out donkeys and horses on the highways (repeated 1852); fee to organ tuner; 1850 sale of parish gravel pit; 1855 diversion of footpath from Ireland to Yew Tree Lodge; 1860 insurance of church [for policy see P 69/2/2/2]; 1861 sale of parish workhouse to Mr.Whitbread for £900; 1864 new church clock; 1867 recasting of tenor bell; 1867-8 new burial ground, scheme considered but not carried out; 1873 churchyard enlargement; 1878 rating of towing path of former Ivel Navigation and rating of osier beds; 1884 new warming apparatus for church; 1891 restoration of lead gutters on church roof; 1897 approach to Chapel Trustees for financial help towards cost of maintaining parish graveyard; 1898 bell restoration, minutes until 1904; 1907 heating apparatus; 1911 new pulpit; [later minutes not calendared] Note: see also P 69/5/3 (Churchwardens’ accounts 1785-1952) for Vestry minutes passim especially concerning the restoration of the church in 1811-15
