    1)Richard Harvey of Pavenham, esquire and Thomas Wagstaff of Pavenham, farmer, churchwardens 2)Daniel Hulatt of Pavenham Lease by 1) to 2) for eight years from 11 October 1850 of close of land in Hurdleford Field, Pavenham (12 acres) called the Church Land at an annual rent of 47/- per acre Clause as follows: that 2) shall pay all rates and taxes, to cultivate and manage the land in a husbandlike manner according to the four course system except that instead of a clear fallow he shall be at liberty to grow turnips or pulse on the land which would otherwise be fallow; once every year to lay and spread upon one fourth of the said land at least eighteen sufficient cart loads of good rotten manure per acre and so in such manner as that once at least during the said term every acre of the said land shall be manured with the aforesaid quantity and that he shall eat and consume with sheep on the land all the turnips to be grown thereon except to the last year of the tenancy; to keep in repair the gates, hedges and fences and keep the ditches well scoured and cleansed. On quitting the land 2) to be paid at a fair valuation for all turnips and root crops, clover and other seeds growing upon the land and for all ploughing and acts of husbandry done thereon [clause concerning agreement for lease if 1) should cease to be churchwardens during the term]. 2) not to underlet during the term
