Title
R.S. Gilpin to Mr. Willis. 'the fault - I find, is that the
Commissioners have permitted the old line over which they had no
control to be stopt up before the new line was rendered
passable ...Of course the public will not give up their right
consequently they will be compelled for the present to pursue
other courses as best they can over the adjoining property and
as near as they can on the line of the old original road. Any
damage that may ensue must be laid to the Commissioners charge..
'several necks might be broken between this and the
18th February.'
