  • Scope and Content
From: Thomas Sworder, Bedford Road Brewery, Luton To: Edward Tewson of 80 Cheapside, London "I confirm telegram in answer to yours of this Morning. Mr.Green offered himself, to me, a position as Director in the New Company. I declined, but said I would nominate one & I cannot get over it without the consent of Mr.E.R.Sworder to whom I made the offer. Mr.Green called this Morning (bringing a letter from Mr.Peyer) & wishing to renew negotiations with me but I told I must leave the matter entirely in your hands. It appears Mr.Peyer will not be back till the end of the week & this was the reason he came to me, so he said. I told Mr.Green that the matter must stand over till Mr.P's return".
