    Rt. Hon. George Viscount Torrington, ..., Lord of the Manor Thomas Richardson Rayment, gent., steward Recites surrender out of Court on 16 October 1769, by Edward Waldo, late of Abchurch Lane, London, merchant, and then of South Lambeth, Surrey, gent., and John Walker of Friday Street, London sugar refiner (Trustees appointed by Marriage Settlement (Lease and Release) of 2/3 November 1763 between 1) William Cooper of the Poultry, London, silkman, and 2) Elizabeth wife of 1) by her then name of Elizabeth Matthews, widow, and 3) Edward Waldo and John Walker for trusts therein mentioned), at direction of William Cooper and Elizabeth his wife, the said Waldo and Walker came before Jonathan Price of Salter's Hall, deputy steward of the Manor, and surrendered: - all that third part in a moiety of all those 7a. arable land in Potton next a place called Butlers Willows and lying south, as the same hath lately been measured and parted by Mr. Joseph Cole land surveyor, and since stumped out accordingly, to which premises the said Elizabeth was admitted tenant on the surrender of John Pedley at a court held on 21 October 1754. - also a moiety of one third part [same property] to which the said Elizabeth was admitted tenant upon the death of Susannah, late wife of Arthur Borron, clerk, as one of the sisters of the said Susannah and one of the three daughters of John Atkinson, late of Potton, gent., deceased, at a Manor Court on 13 December 1758. Surrendered to the use of William Hankin of Potton, gent., who was admitted as tenant on payment of a fine of 1¾d. Yearly quit rent, 3½d.
