Title
Ann Blundell, aged 43. At 15 she was hired as servant by year to Thomas Dennis, Potton, butcher. Remained with him for 5¾ yrs. At 25 married William Blundell, chimney sweep. Lived together 16 yrs, then he enlisted as soldier in July 1779 (Tottenham Regt of Foot). He was born at Kimpton, Herts. His mother had poor relief for him until he was 7. He and his mother travelled about country as peddlers. About 11 or 12 years ago a poor rate for a house at Potton was demanded of her. Overseers wanted to return rate next day but she, and husband, refused to accept it.
