Scope and Content
Recites that rector is seised of land to be described and it is desired to assure it as an Ecclesiastical Charity for benefit of incumbent and use of members of C. of E. in his care, and that Commissioners are satisfied the land may be sold to the advantage of the estate and endowments of Clophill benefice.
- Piece of land the site of a building adjoining Ampthill to Shefford Road on N. (as is shown on plan, but no plan with conveyance) and the building on the site.
Consideration £10.
Granted to iii) on trust to permit any buildings on site to be used at discretion of rector and churchwardens, or officiating minister or nominees of rector and churchwardens, for:-
1. Celebration of divine service.
2. As a school.
3. As a residence for teacher(s)
4. For religious instruction or secular, under control of rector and churchwardens.
5. For clerical meetings or societies connected with C. of E.
6. For other meetings having in view the wants of professing members of C. of E.
Declaration that premises shall be under sole control of rector and churchwardens subject to an appeal by iii) or not less than half the Administrative Trustees to the Bishop of diocese, whose decision shall be final. Declaration that iii) may alienate, sell or exchange if desirable. Proviso that if it be desirable to use premises as consecrated church, it is lawful for iii) to revoke part of the above and convey to a body for the purposes of the Church Building Act.
