Scope and Content
(i) William Stone of Essex, surgeon, son William Stone of Ampthill, draper, who was eldest son of Richard Stone of Leighton Buzzard by wife Anne, nee Arnald, who was niece and heir of Michael Arnald, who was surviving trustee, and died intestate.
(ii) Rev. William. Pierce Nethersole, rector of Clophill; the churchwardens of Clophill; James Crouch sr. and jr. of Clophill, yeoman; Edward Horn of Clophill, yeoman.; John Burrows of Clophill, carpenter; Samuel Burrows of Clophill, yeoman; John Horton of Clophill, gent.
(iii) Samuel Davis of Ampthill, gent.
Recites 45/25/3, and states that estate was vested in Michael Arnald by survivorship.
-- Property as in P45/25/3 and P45/25/4, (messuages and cottages); land reallotted under Clophill enclosure award.
Witn. Chas. Austin, Ampthill; Wm. Wyman, schoolmaster.
This deed is incorrect in stating that the estate became vested in Michael Arnald. New trustees were appointed in 1721 and apparently also in 1757.
