Cheyne late of Luton, gent. deced. by an agreement dated 20 Aug 1698 leased to Ric. Gutteridge then of Luton, maltster, since deced., and John Knoulton of Luton, cornchandler, mess. or tent. nr. Luton called Court Close House with orchard belonging, and piece of pasture called Court Close 3a. on which house stands for 9 years at annual rent of £19. 10s. 0d. LICENCE by Judith Cheyne and Thos.
