Papers regarding an incident between lorries on London Road, Biggleswade. A Fordson lorry was travelling from Newton to London and opposite 53 London Road there was a stationary lorry. The Fordson lorry driver, of Tholomas Drove, Wisbech St Mary, Wisbech, having the right of way proceeded to overtake the stationary lorry but saw another lorry coming towards him. This lorry driver of Longfield Road, Sandy, did not stop and to avoid a head on collision the Fordson lorry driver mounted the footpath on his nearside. The rear part of the other lorry collided with the offside of the Fordson lorry, cracking the offside bolster and bursting several bags of potatoes.
