Mainly dealing with election of officers, rating of new properties, and other routine business, but also containing: 1876 Condolences to widow of late Rev. W.C. Bidwell 1877 Expence of winding and keeping the Town Clock to be charged on the Highway rate. New Town Clock presented by Samuel Whitbread, Lord of Manor. 1878 Church restoration - completion of interior to be undertaken. Enlargement of the Burial Ground (deferred) Formation of Volunteer Fire Brigade (names given), and maintenance of engine house and equipment.
