- Scope and ContentWith affidavit that William Nichols, a poor boy, aged 15, was apprenticed on 27 Dec 1824, with the consent of the trustees of the Marston Charity, to Henry Haynes of Wootton, blacksmith, for 7 years. With examination of Mary, born at Wootton on 6 Oct 1808, named Mary Andrew, father 's name Thomas. Married Willaim at Wootton on 29 July 1831. William born on 5 Mar 1809. Apprenticed in Wootton, first to Henry Haynes and then to his son Joseph, whom he served for 1½ yrs before his marriage. William died at Marston on 29 Mar 1843
