A groom in the parish of S. Ann Westminster, then took shop and lodging at Ampthill, married Ann Farnell. Had a son William, wife died 15 months later. Married widow of Richard Odell of Maulden for c. 5 years, where he paid to the poor, church, & c.. Lived at Toddington c. 1½ years earning c. 1/- a year. Married Hannah Mortimor. To Bushey, Herts, for 1½ years where John Norris was born. Thence to S. John Wapping, where he rented a "litle shop & a room" at 50/- a year. His wife died. No proper settlement gained.
