Letter from Clerk to the Justices to the Secretary of State at the Home Office regarding Walter Stratton, Smallholder of Park Corner Farm, Dunton Lane, Biggleswade. Stratton had been found guilty and fined for 4 offences against Regulation 55 of the Defence Regulations 1939 Stratton made regular payments towards his fine from August 1946 to February 1947 but then found himself unable to pay the instalment due to losses sustained on his farm. Stratton disclosed his bank account, stock and liabilities to the Justices and they recommended remission of the whole of the outstanding fine. Also papers and letters relating to Stratton's financial position.
