    - to his son Edward his estate in Norton [Hertfordshire], charged with £8 per annum to his daughters Ann, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah; - to his son John £500, The Plough at Stotfold in occupation of William Kitchiner with 7 acres of ploughed land in Stotfold; a slip of slade in Stotfold bought from James Burton; Jermyn’s Close, Stotfold, of 1 acre; 3 acres of ploughed land in Stotfold bought from James Ind; 18 acres in William and Clothall Field [Hertfordshire]; 1 acre leasehold in Willian Field; charged with £12 per annum to his daughters; also the meeting house in which his brother and sisters were to have equal shares; - to his daughter Sarah a cottage in Frog End in occupation of Thomas Mantle, weaver; - to his son Edward £500 “with the money as is coming to him out of Kirbey & Bentley estates”; - to his daughters Ann, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah £300 each; - to Edward and John an estate in Clothall and Willian bought from Mr.Reynolds, charged with £10 per annum to his daughters; - “Tis my will for my children to live together and keep this farm at Stotfold…tis my will that none of my children buy any black cloaths for mourning, whichever doth…to have £50 less – scarves and gloves do as they please”.     P 83/25/3-20 are old deeds relating to 12 acres of land and nine dole swarths afterwards purchased by Henry Octavus Roe as an additional endowment for the school.
