Hoping you and all your family are quite well". From: Thomas Sworder, Hertford; 24 May 1861 To: Thomas Sworder, Luton "In answer to your letter of 23 May I have to say that I have paid to Mr,Thurnall the Solr employed by yourself & others against me money to pay your Mother & Caroline & Lucy & John & George then Shares of M.A's estate, but I have not paid you as I perceived your Brother Tom would settle with you in the Welch Brewery & therefore you must look to him. Your Brother Tom had £150 of me a short time ago on purpose to pay or lend to you & which I presume you received".
