- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "It would be well to give up the unsold property if as you say Thurnall will release you from the 2 legacies & my mother's annuity. Thurnall says "the Estate must pay the debt" does he mean by this all must contribute except the daughters? Charles is very much in want of money & if the shares are paid at once perhaps he may get the amount John & George have agreed to pay him. Charles is now here & leaves for Merthyr next Tuesday. I have in title deeds to the Westmill property. I had admissions to the Copyhold, but these I am almost certain I delivered over to you. I will let Mr.Longmore have some on account as soon as possible. I return Thurnall's letter".
