- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "Just before leaving for London yesterday I had another addition a little Girl. You will think I am treading fast on your heels but you must recollect you first set me the example. I went up again with W.Medland to see about a partner, as Benning says something must be done soon. He wanted to go over & see you to see whether some arrangement could not be made to satisfy the Executors. He first saw W.Medland & the latter wrote to you on the subject. I rather intended being over last Saturday, with Charles, but I have been under a fresh Dr's hands lately & he says I must take great care & not tire myself more than I can avoid. My throat does not get well & he says it won't until my strength & general health is improved".
