    His wife Alice to live with testator's brother Richard in the farm testator now lives in, she to have the best parlour, the room next, now a buttery, for a milkhouse, the whole cheeseloft, and half the kitchen. Provision made for her to have grain, and beasts and "halfe the pullen" Mention of farm at Cotten end where John Albone now lives, which farm is held by testator on lease. Brother Richard Tompson to have mess. in Wilstead known as Pursonage or Berristed house with close adj. called the Berristeed close, and all tithes of corn and grain belonging to the parsonage; Also close of pasture in Wilstead called Goldington field (except for a passage way from the common lane called London lane to Highfield); Crosse Meadow Until Richard's son William Tompson, testator's godson, shall atain age 21, when to him and his heirs male, in default to William's brother George Tompson Brother Richard to have close of pasture called Highfeild and right of way to it at south end of Goldington field; also the house and toft and arable land in the tenure of George Lynford, with house and land near Pipers hedge which testator purchased of heirs of one Ballard, and 4a. arable of which 2a lie in Cotten field and 2a in Wilstead field; barn in Wilstead; 2a arable in Cotton Maydberrie field pur. of Thos. Tuckey Until Richard's son George Tompson reaches age 21, then to George and heirs Brother Richard to have for preferement of himself and his daughters the lease of the farm where the testator now lives, and of the farm in Cotton end (excepting lease of Richard Cawne's farm for next 3 years and lease of farm where brother now lives). At the end of 3 years Mr. Aldryche and his wife to have remainder of lease of farm late Richard Cawne. To repairs parish church of Wilstead 20s.; for burial in church 6s 8d; to poor at funeral 40s.; to mending the causeways 20s.; monument to be erected to testator in church. To sister Newman of Marston 40s., and to her son John Newman 40s, and to her married and her unmarried daughter 40s each. To wife's sister Elizabeth Awdeley 40s.; to her dau. In order to bring up the two sons of Reynold Ireland lately decd., John Albone and his wife to have remainder of lease of brother Richard's farm where he now lives To each of Thos. Cooke's 3 boys 20s. Bequests to Simon Best and his son (testator's godson) Wm Best, and dau.
