From: Thomas Sworder, Hertford; To: Thomas Sworder, Luton "When I got home last night your letter made me very uncomfortable. I cannot let you have any Money. You have sadly inconvenienced me by taking that £850. I fear you do not tell me everything. You shd not keep anything from me & pray do avoid mixing yourself up with lending money or any matter by which your capital is locked up. You nearly lost £400 by that mtge for want of ordinary care. I am afraid the Bank will come down upon me. If so, I shall be much annoyed. Do not make malt & lock up Capital in that. Don't have cheques dishonoured. I hope we have not done a foolish thing in buying Burr's Brewery but your remarks frighten me & make me Uncomfortable. Consider how much you will want to pay Burr at Michas. My wife is gone to Dunstable today & I go there on Saturday aftn. I shall go by your House but can see you on Monday at Dunstable. If you come here on Saty I can return with you. Get your Bills in. Get a Partner. Get rid of the Welch Brewery & the Welch estate. I saw Moss ' advertisement & I hope it may be successful. I return Bigg's letter & I send a letter from Biscoe would the manr [?] at Bedford from you to open correspondence with him".
