- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "Robert will be at Hertford on Tuesday next when he will call & pay you the Int due to you. I wanted to see you before the Mortgage was completed as I should like to manage (either by paying off part of the principal or by giving you other security) so that you would not require a second charge on the property included in Mr.Lettsom's security. I shall most likely be going to Westmill for a few days either next week or the week following when I will make a point of seeing you and bring the Draft Mortgage. I also wish to see you respecting John's taking Westmill on his own hands. I do not see any objection to Archer's Mortgage being paid off. It will be a good thing settled".
