    Copy will and codicils of Robert Skevington of Bedford, baker (I) Will of 14 Nov 1822 - devising to his wife Elizabeth his messuage, bakehouse and yard in Bedford, St.Mary in his own occupation and his freehold messuage in White Horse Street, Bedford, St.Paul in occupation of Mrs.Timaeus; - bequeathing to Elizabeth his leasehold messuage in Bedford, St.Mary, in occupation of Robert Henry Gibbon, held from Master and Co-Bretheren of St.John's Hospital, Bedford; - devising, on Elizabeth's death, the bakery in Bedford, St.Mary to his son William, charged with legacies; - bequeathing the leasehold premises to his daughter Elizabeth after the death of his wife; - devising White Horse Street property to his daughter Mary, wife of William Adams, after the death of his wife; remainder to Mary's children; - bequeathing £160 to his daughter Elizabeth charged on the bakery in St.Marys; - bequeathing £10 to each of his nieces Sarah, Alice, Ruth and Elizabeth Skevington charged on the bakery in St.Mary's; - bequeathing all household goods to his wife, remainder equally to their children; - bequeathing residue of personal estate to William Parker of Bedford, gentleman and John Hobson of Eaton Socon, miller upon trust to convert into money to invest for his wife Elizabeth then to divide between their children with powers during his wife's life to advance up to £200 to each of the children; - appointing his wife, William parker and John Hobson as executrix and executors; - witnessed by R.H.Gibbon of Bedford, Henry Bellamy of Bedford and John Harvey of Bedford (II) Codicil of 31 Dec 1824 - he had since his will purchased of John Green of Bell yard, Temple Bar [Middlesex], dyer a freehold cottage in Bedford, St.John to which he was now making alterations and additions; - devising the St.John's cottage to his wife for her life, remainder to their children; - witnessed by H.E.Wills, R.H.Gibbon and J.H.Matthiason all of Bedford (III) Codicil of 16 Nov 1832 - the cottage in Bedford, St.John not to be sold during the life time of his daughter Elizabeth who was to have it for life; - witnessed by William Malden of Bedford, Joseph Denyer of Bedford and Thomas Broughton of Huntingdon (IV) Codicil of 19 Jan 1833 - he had appointed his wife, William Parker and John Hobson as executors and trustees for property given to his daughter Mary Adams; - his wife was dead and appointing Thomas Small of Bedford, glazier in her place as an executor in place of William Parker; - witnessed by George Osborn of Bedford, watchmaker, Joseph Denyer of Bedford, shoemaker and Nevill day of St.Neot's [Huntingdonshire], solicitor (V) Notes of death of Robert Skevington on 6 Aug 1833 and proof of his will in PCC on 27 Sep 1833 - effects sworn under £5,000.
