Scope and Content
-tithe rentcharge had been extinguished on 2 Oct 1936 by Tithe Act of 1836 and the land formerly subject to it had become subject to a redemption annuity payable to Tithe Redemption Commission in favour of the crown;
-£200 per annum was payable in respect of redemption annuity for Little Barford;
-the incumbent now received dividends from 3% Redemption Stock instead of a portion of the amount payable by landowners under the former tithe rentcharge system;
-income for Little Barford was: until 30 Aug 1937 - £240/3/8; from 29 Aug 1937 to 31 Mar 1945 - £180/15/4; 31 Mar 1945 to 1947 - £188/6/-; from 1947 - £191/6/-;
-dilapidations of £45/8/2 had been payable by the benefice in respect of all benefice buildings and Queen Anne’s Bounty had made grants of two thirds annual payments of Little Barford and Eaton Socon [which were held in plurality] but now that the combined net income of both benefices exceeded £500 the QAB grants were to be withdrawn
