    1) Rev. John Richardson, clerk, Rector of Sandy 2) Edward Harold, Lord Bishop of Ely Conveyance by 1) to 2) under the Acts for Conveyance and Endowment of sites for schools, of: - all that piece of land (2r.) being part of the glebe belonging to Sandy Rectory, having a frontage on St. Neots road of 160 feet : NW & NE. other parts of the said glebe : SE. land belonging to Miss Peck : SW. The St. Neots Road PLAN in margin To hold to 2) as a site for a school for children and adults, or children only of the labouring and other poorer classes of the parish of Sandy. Principal clauses include: i) School to be open to inspection by H.M. Inspector of Schools ii) To be in union with the National Society iii) Minister to have superintendence of religious and moral instruction, and may have use of premises for Sunday School iv) All other control to be vested in a Committee consisting of Minister, his curate(s), and four other persons, the first to be appointed being A.W. Peel Esq., J.N.Foster Esq., C.P. Miller and E.T.Leeds Smith, gents. v) Members of Committee to subscribe at least 20s. per annum to school funds, to be Communicants of the Church of England, and to reside or hold property in the parish vi) Vacancies to be filled by election of qualified person by contributors [details of procedure given] vii) No person to be appointed or continue as Master or Mistress of the School who is not a member of the Church of England viii) Committee to elect annually a Secretary to keep minutes ix) Minister to be Chairman at meetings when present, all matters to be decided by majority vote of members present, and the Chairman to have casting vote. x) Disputes between Minister and Committee of Management on religious matters to be laid before the Bishop whose decision to be final [procedure for arbitration in other disputes also laid down] xi) Committee to have power to appoint annually a Committee of three ladies to assist in management of girls & infant school Appended: certificate of three clergymen re site, 15 May 1868 Witnesses: Edwd.
