Scope and Content
By a Parish Meeting of Meppershall held on 3 December 1909 i) was authorised to borrow a sum not exceeding £425 for the purpose of allotments. The County Council by a resolution passed on 4 February 1910 consented to the borrowing
The Local Government Board on 1 June 1910 sanctioned the borrowing at interest of £400 on security of the Poor Rate. To be repaid within 50 years
Public Works Loan Commissioners have issued an Order by which i) are entitled to receive from the Commissioners for the reduction of the National Debt the sum of £400
Now i) assign to ii)
- all the Poor Rates
- every other rate which i) have power to charge for this purpose
If i) pay on 18 January and 18 July up to 18 January 1960 in each year, to the Bank of England £8 18s to discharge interest at £3 15s per cent and then principal sum, then mortgage becomes void
i) covenant with ii) to pay said sum
