  • Title
    Report of Edward George Fuller, School Attendance Officer for the Biggleswade Union. He visited Wrestlingworth School and found Albert Holben, Annie Holben, William King, Arthur Endersby, George Morley, Fred Bonfield, Rosa Mewsey and Louisa Brim were absent from school. Their parents confirmed they were working for Henry King. later that day Edward fuller went to Henry King's field and saw the children picking twitch. Later he saw Henry King and informed him of the call. Henry King replied ' I hope you wont make it any worse than you can help' Edward Fuller reported the case to the Committee as none of the children had passed the required standard of education. Convicted in 1 case and Fined £2.0.0 with Costs of 8/6. Other cases were dismissed on payment of 5/- each.
