    From: Robert How, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder "Old Brewery Luton Enclosed I forward Balance of Rents renewed to Lady day you will perceive I have in hand 10/- which I have carried to next a/c Scargill I cannot get rge rent of Mr.Scargill he refuses to pay. I have told him I must take out a Summons in the County Court and will do so on receiving instructions from you the rent is still going on. I have not received any notice from him to give up the Premises so that I hold him tenant for the same there is one years rent due March 25 - £10. Cennen Tower I received yours this day and will try and see Mr.Hawkins the next time I am in Wales. Your Son Brewer Should I hear of anything that I think would suite [sic] him will drop you a line. I have just heard that Mr.Simpson who has lately erected a small Brewery at Dunstable is dead and I should not be surprised if that property will [be] disposed of it is quite new he hold [sic] The Borough Arms one of your Houses and I have heard he was doing a nice little business I doubt if that would suit your son".
