    Probate of will of James Wood, late of Bedford, ostler, now of Oakley: - devising all real estate to his brother George; - bequeathing all clothing, sticks, whips, watches to his brother George and John Blanchet of Oakley, groom, his executors; - bequeathing £5 to John Blanchet; - bequeathing all securities etc. to his executors upon trust to convert into money to pay £100 "at such times in such manner and in such portions as they…think most desirable" to his sister Sarah, wife of Robert Hulatt for her life, remainder to her children; residue to be divided equally between his sister-in-law Ann, widow of his brother William, to his brother Robert and sister Martha; - witnesses: Thomas Cornish, clerk to Turnley of Bedford, solicitor; Joseph Berrill, bricklayer of Oakley; - note that the name Wood had been spelt Woods by mistake throughout James Wood died 30 May 1855 and proof of his will in Archdeaconry of Bedford on 7 Jun 1855, assets sworn under £600
